FIELD TRIP
(Dec. 18, 2006)

Schedule for Monday, Dec. 19, 2006:
9:00 Departure
9:10-10:30 Raintree Manor (Christmas Caroling, Gift Giving, & Visiting)
10:45-11:45 CiCi's Pizza for Lunch (Video games are extra if they play.)
12:00-1:30 Three Star Cinema (Charlotte's Web)

Please join us for the day if you can. I'll need at least 5 parents to attend to help chaperone. Parents/Adults can pay for their lunch at CiCi's (about $6.50) and for the movie at the theater (about $4.00).

Parents may also ride the bus. However, younger siblings may not ride the bus.
I think it may be because of insurance reasons.

There may be several students that may not be able to afford to go, so I put an option on the field trip forms that anyone who wishes to can sponsor another student for $9.00.

Each student should bring either a crossword search or puzzle booklet
as a gift to a senior citizen.
Items that are requested for senior citizen care packets:

Lotion Soft Candy
Shampoo & Conditioner 100-500 piece puzzles
Socks Kleenex
Toothpaste
Small Stuffed Animal There are more items listed on the field trip form as examples.

(Only send what you can. We don't expect you to get everything on the list. If you know of a church or organization that would like to donate something, please let us know.)

The students are making Christmas cards & craft items to give as gifts to the senior citizens when we go. There are about 130 total patients, but there should only be 40-50 that are in the community room when we visit. We will give gifts to those seniors, and leave cards and a craft item or two for the rest of the patients. The care packets will be left for the patients that are in need of the extra items donated by students.

CHRISTMAS PARTY ON DEC. 19th

We will also exchange gifts at our Christmas party on Dec. 20th.
Girls need to bring a girl gift, and boys should bring a boy gift. The gift should cost between $5 and $7 dollars. I will send a Christmas party note home in the next few days. Please let me know if you have any questions.
